Redpine Signals, Inc., a leading developer of ultra low power multi-standard OFDM and MIMO silicon-based solutions, today announced the successful certification of its ultra low power Lite-Fi 802.11n SoC for Voice-Personal, the Wi-Fi Alliance's newest certification program for ensuring the delivery of good voice quality over a Wi-Fi link. Redpine's RS9110 Lite-Fi device enables a new generation of Wi-Fi based VoIP phones that will make available the advantages of 802.11n connectivity at a cost similar to or less than those that use conventional 802.11b/g connectivity.
